BizFinder.ai ("we," "our," or "us") operates an AI-powered customer support platform that enables businesses to embed intelligent chat and voice assistants on their websites. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our platform, website, and services.

By using BizFinder.ai, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a bcrypt hash, never in plain text).

Business Data: Website URLs you submit for scanning, the content extracted from those pages (text, FAQs, service details), and knowledge base entries generated from your site.

Conversation Data: Chat messages between your website visitors and the Smart AI Voice Sales & Support Assistant, including any contact information visitors voluntarily provide (name, email, phone).

Usage Data: Analytics on widget interactions, conversation volume, feature usage, and platform engagement.

Technical Data: IP addresses, browser type, device information, and access timestamps collected automatically through server logs.

We use the information we collect to:

- Provide and maintain our AI assistant services, including training per-business AI models on your website content.

- Process and respond to customer conversations through the AI widget.

- Capture and manage leads generated through widget interactions.

- Send service-related notifications, alerts, and updates.

- Improve our platform, algorithms, and user experience.

- Ensure security and prevent fraud or abuse.

Your data is stored in PostgreSQL databases hosted on Supabase with encrypted connections. All data transmission between your browser and our servers uses TLS/SSL encryption. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with appropriate salt rounds. Authentication tokens are signed using industry-standard JWT with secure secret keys.

We implement role-based access controls (User, Admin, Super Admin) to limit data access to authorized personnel only.

We integrate with the following third-party services to deliver our platform:

OpenAI: Chat messages are processed through OpenAI's API to generate AI responses. Messages are sent to OpenAI in real-time and are subject to OpenAI's data usage policies.

ElevenLabs: When voice features are enabled, text is sent to ElevenLabs for text-to-speech conversion. Audio recordings are sent to OpenAI Whisper for speech-to-text transcription.

Calendly: When booking features are enabled, scheduling data is shared with Calendly to facilitate appointment booking.

Umami Analytics: We use self-hosted Umami for privacy-friendly website analytics that does not use cookies for tracking.

If you provide a mobile phone number through our platform or through a BizFinder.ai widget embedded on a business's website, you may receive SMS messages from us or from businesses using our platform. These messages may include appointment reminders, lead follow-ups, two-factor authentication codes, and (where you have opted in) marketing communications.

No third-party sharing of mobile opt-in for marketing: We will never sell, share, or otherwise transfer your mobile number or SMS opt-in status to third parties for their own marketing purposes. The only parties that send SMS messages to your number are BizFinder.ai itself and the specific business whose widget you interacted with.

How to opt out: Reply STOP to any SMS message you receive from us to immediately unsubscribe from all further messages. You can also opt out at any time by emailing privacy@bizfinder.ai with your phone number and the business you wish to stop hearing from.

How to get help: Reply HELP to any SMS message to receive support information, or contact support@bizfinder.ai for help with SMS messaging from BizFinder.ai or businesses using our platform.

Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply, charged by your mobile carrier. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Business knowledge bases, conversation history, and lead data are retained for the duration of your subscription. Upon account deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

You have the right to:

- Access the personal data we hold about you.

- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.

- Delete your account and associated data. Web and mobile-app accounts can be deleted self-serve from that page; no login required.

- Export your data in a portable format.

- Withdraw consent for data processing where consent is the legal basis.
